Jishou recognized as pilot area for common modernization

Recently, Jishou City of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture was included in the first 15 pilot areas for common modernization in China for the “cultural tourism plus” common modernization plan. Based on local conditions, Jishou City has made efforts to promote the deep integration of the cause of ethnic unity and progress with high-quality development of cultural and tourism industries, advance the establishment of a transportation demonstration system represented by the “most beautiful rural tourism road in China”, optimize the all-for-one tourism industry layout, integrate ethnic and folk cultural tourism, strengthen the ethnic characteristic handicraft industry, and release boutique Red tourism routes, in a bid to drive the common development of multiple industries in Jishou City. In the development of cultural tourism, Jishou City has highlighted the common and shared symbols and images of Chinese culture of all ethnic groups, advanced the development of the cultural industry, and opened up an integrated development path based on cultural tourism to promote rural revitalization and common modernization of all ethnic groups. It has become a demonstration area for rural revitalization in poverty-stricken areas, a benchmark area for unity and common prosperity in ethnic areas, and an advanced pilot area for common modernization of all ethnic groups in the country, contributing to the unity of the Chinese nation.
